NOTICE TO PUBLIC AGENCIES
OF POTENTIAL DISPOSITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
OF THE PLEASANT VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
TO: ALL PUBLIC DISTRICTS, PUBLIC AUTHORITIES, PUBLIC AGENCIES, PUBLIC CORPORATIONS, POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND QUALIFYING NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE CORPORATIONS AND NON-PROFIT PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATIONS (THE "PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES").
Pursuant to Education Code Section 17464(c)(2), Public Sector Entities are hereby notified that the Pleasant Valley School District (the "District") is considering leasing, selling, or otherwise disposing of that certain real property located at 2222 Ventura Boulevard, Camarillo, CA 93010 (the "Property"). The Property, which is identified by APN 162-0-070-270), totals 8.47 +/- acres.
1. On March 19, 2026, pursuant to Resolution No. 26-09, the District's Board of Trustees ("Board") declared the Property surplus and available for potential lease, sale, or other disposition to the Public Sector Entities.
2. The Property is situated within the planning jurisdiction of the City of Camarillo. The City's General Plan designates the Property as Public and the Property is zoned Residential Planned Development. The Property is bordered by commercial and retail on the north and a variety of residential uses to the east, south and west. Vehicular access is available via Ventura Boulevard and Elm Drive.
3. Any Public Sector Entity desiring to acquire the Property shall submit an offer to Mr. Chris Johnston, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Pleasant Valley School District, 600 Temple Ave., Camarillo, CA 93010, cjohnston@pleasantvalleysd.org. Offers must be received by the statutory deadline.
4. Pursuant to Resolution No. 26-09, the Board has delegated authority to the District's Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services to negotiate in good faith with any Public Sector Entities that make a timely offer to lease, purchase, or otherwise acquire the Property. The final terms and conditions of any disposition of the Property shall be set forth in a written agreement, which is subject to approval of the District's Board. The Board reserves the right to determine which, if any, of the offers, bids, or proposals it receives to accept, or to reject any or all such offers, bids, or proposals, and any related agreement.
