Notice is hereby given that the Mountain View School District ( CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICIAL) will receive sealed proposals up to, but not later than the time fixed above, for a Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, necessary equipment, transportation, fertilizers, insecticide and any other items needed to maintain, in an attractive and safe condition, the landscaped areas of approximately 7 sites within the city of Ontario.
A mandatory site inspection will be held Wednesday May 6, 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m. at Mountain View School District – District Office, 2585 S. Archibald Avenue, Ontario CA, 91761. We will then proceed to all other available sites. These sites are provided only as an example of locations and sizes of sites to be included in the contract. Contractors must attend the site walk in order to submit a proposal.
The RFP shall remain open, valid and subject to acceptance anytime within ninety (90) days after the RFP opening date and time unless otherwise stipulated.
Each proposal submission shall be accompanied by check or cashier’s check payable to the MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT or a satisfactory bond in favor of the MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT executed by the Contractor as principal and a satisfactory surety company as surety, in the amount of Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($500.00). A Performance Bond will be required to be maintained during the life of the contract at the level of Twenty Thousand and no 00/100 dollars ($20,000.00).
This RFP is subject to the provisions of Education Code Section 45125.1 and 45122.1. Contractors’ employees are required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice where an employee may come into contact with students at any site. The Department of Justice will ascertain whether the employee has a pending criminal proceeding for a violent or serious felony or has been convicted of a violent or serious felony as they are defined in Penal Code Sections 667.5c) and 1192.7c), respectively.
Each Contractor shall possess at the time of bid a current contractor’s license, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3300 and Business and Professions Code Section 7028-15, for the applicable work proposed to be furnished. The successful bidder must maintain the license throughout the duration of this contract. Contractors responding to this RFP must possess a California Contractor’s C-27 license.
All RFP submissions must be directed to CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICIAL , ATTN: Front Desk Receptionist, 2585 S. Archibald Ave, Ontario, CA 91761. RFPs must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope “RFP ENCLOSED #2025/2026-0003 LANDSCAPING SERVICES – VARIOUS SITES.”
