NOTICE CALLING FOR QUOTESRFQ# 2026-2027-01
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Val Verde Unified School District of Riverside County, California (“District”), is requesting quotes for the award of the contract(s) of Pest Control and Elimination Services (“Quote”). Quotes must be submitted electronically through the Planet Bids – Val Verde USD Vendor Portal at: https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/70300/portal-home. Quote submissions must be posted up to, but no later than, 2:35 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Thursday, May 7, 2026. All quotes must be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Any person, corporation, firm or other entity submitting a Quote in response to this RFQ is referred to herein as a “Proposer”.
Jessica Noriega, Nutrition Service Procurement Coordinator shall act as the “District Representative” on this procurement. Questions regarding this Notice Calling for Quotes may be directed to the District Representative at (951) 940-6100 ext. 10857 or email at jnoriega@valverde.edu. No other members of the District’s staff or District Board should be contacted about this procurement during the proposal process. Any and all inquiries and comments regarding this Proposal must be communicated in writing, unless otherwise instructed by the District. The District may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Proposer who engages in any prohibited communications.
The Planet Bids Platform will time-and-date stamp all quote packets that are received by the deadline of 2:35 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Thursday, May 7, 2026. All submitted proposals must be marked “RFQ# 2026-2027-01 Pest Control and Elimination Services” and addressed to: Val Verde Unified School District, Attention: Nutrition Service Department, 975 West Morgan Street, Perris, California 92571. It is the responsibility of each prospective Proposer to obtain the Quote documents from PlanetBids for review and to verify the completeness of Quotes. Any Addenda will be posted on PlanetBids. It is the responsibility of each prospective Proposer to check PlanetBids on a daily basis through the close of Quotes for any applicable addenda or updates. The District does not assume any liability or responsibility based on any defective or incomplete copying, excerpting, scanning, faxing, downloading, or printing of the Quote documents. The Contract Documents shall supersede any information posted or transmitted by the District unless memorialized in a formal addendum.
The Nutrition Service Department is no longer accepting physical proposal packets, and is not responsible for Proposals sent via USPS, UPS, FedEx, GLS, or any other courier or delivery service provider. Any physical proposal packets received during the submission period, after the closing date, or any date extensions due to material changes, shall be returned to the Proposer unopened.
Proposals cannot be submitted after the closing date. Quotes will be publicly opened through the Planet Bids Vendor Portal at 2:35 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The Board of Education for the Val Verde Unified School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all quotes or parts thereof, to be the sole judge as to the merits and qualifications of all proposals, to waive any informality in a proposal, and not necessarily accept the lowest proposal of any offered if it is in the best interest of the District. Design, specifications, service, delivery, and vendor references will be considered in making selections. The District reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, to waive any discrepancy or technicality, and to award the contract for goods or services to other than the lowest quote. The award of contract, if made by the District, will be to the qualified firm whose RFQ best complies with all the requirements set forth in the quote documents and whose quote, in the opinion of the District while complying with all legal requirements, is in the best interest of the district, taking into consideration all aspects of the contractor's response, including the total net cost.The Press-EnterprisePublished: 4/15, 4/22/26
