PUBLIC NOTICE – Open Enrollment Interim Shelter - Bridge Housing Bed Expansion The County of Sacramento, Department of Health Services (DHS), Behavioral Health Services (BHS), is seeking qualified organizations to operate interim shelter beds through the Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) Open Enrollment. Programs will provide 24-hour, low-barrier interim shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness who have serious mental illness (SMI) and/or substance use disorder (SUD), with onsite supportive services designed to promote stabilization, engagement in behavioral health treatment, and transition to permanent housing. Services must align with State and County requirements, including California Advance and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Community Supports and Transitional Rent (TR), and shall incorporate housing navigation, case management, and coordination with Managed Care Plans (MCPs) to support housing placement and long-term stability. Through this Open Enrollment, Sacramento County will establish a pool of qualified providers to expand interim shelter capacity and allow for rolling onboarding of programs as sites become available during the BHBH grant period.
