NOTICE TO PROPOSERS NOTICE is hereby given that the San Gabriel Unified School District (District), San Gabriel, California, Los Angeles County, will receive proposals up to, but no later than, 11:00 a.m. on May 21, 2026 , for the award of a contract for: RFP No. 202602 DISTRICTWIDE SOLID WASTE, ORGANIC WASTE AND RECYCLING SERVICES Proposals shall be received electronically via email at hernandez_my@sgusd.k12.ca.us Proposers are hereby notified that, in accordance with Public Contract Code (PCC) sections 20112 and 1601, proposals will be received electronically Proposals will not be publicly opened or read. Proposals received after the abovespecified deadline may be rejected. The scope of services (Services) includes the provision of districtwide solid waste collection, organic waste collection and recycling services for all eight (8) District sites and the District Office. Services shall include, but are not limited to, the furnishing of containers, scheduled collection, disposal, recycling, and assistance with compliance with California Senate Bill 1383. The District intends to award a contract to a single vendor and seeks efficient, reliable service solutions that minimize disruption to school operations while meeting applicable regulatory requirements. Each proposal must conform to and be responsive to this Notice and all other documents comprising the contract documents. Proposers interested in submitting a Proposal should visit the San Gabriel Unified School District website https://sgusd.edlioschool.com/ for appropriate documents. All required forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the proposal. No proposer may withdraw its proposal for a period of sixty (60) calendar days following the deadline for receipt of proposals. The District will evaluate proposals based on the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposals that provides the best value to the District. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities or technicalities, and to select the proposal deemed in the best interest of the District. The District may request clarifications or additional information from any proposer. The District may not award the contract to the lowestpriced proposer. Pursuant to Public Records Resources Code section 40059, the District will award a Contract to the vendor that best meets the District's needs, as determined in the sole discretion of the District.
