NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Palomar Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than 1:00 pm, on May 22, 2026 , electronic bids for the award of a contract for: Bid #10026: Weed Abatement Services, Crucial Habitat Maintenance and AsNeeded Service to Irrigation and Irrigation Controls Description of Work: all equipment, tools, chemicals, labor, services and special skills and will be responsible for maintaining a weed and debris free landscape at the San Marcos campus and the District's three education centers. In addition, Firm shall be responsible for ensuring critical sensitive habitat areas of the District are maintained off of sidewalks, brow ditches and landscape areas. Some campuses and centers have open fields that require weed abatement. Occasionally Firm may be required to perform asneeded irrigation repairs. The Bid and related documents are available electronically via the District's PlanetBids bid portal. Firms must be registered on the portal to view and download Bid documents, and all subsequent Addenda. Each submittal shall conform and be responsive to the Bid. It shall be Firm's sole responsibility to conduct periodic checks to identify and download any Addenda. Bid documents can be accessed at the following link: https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/57150/portalhome Note that all bidders must register on the District's portal in order to view the documents and submit a bid. Mandatory prebid conferences shall be held on both May 5, 2026 and May 6, 2026 at 9:00am. Details are found in the bid documents posted on the PlanetBids link above. Bidders must attend and sign in at ALL prebid conferences. This Project is a public work and subject to prevailing wage requirements; contractor and all subcontractors of every tier shall pay laborers performing any portion of the Project not less than the prevailing wage rate.
