REQUEST FOR BIDS TO PERFORM SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LARRY S. KENT, INC. DBA KENT CONSTRUCTION Lease-Leaseback Contractor Soquel Union Elementary School District SANTA CRUZ GARDENS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ATHLETIC FIELD AND AMPHITHEATER 8005 Winkle Avenue Santa Cruz, California 95065 Larry S. Kent, Inc. is requesting subcontractor bids for the Santa Cruz Gardens Elementary School Athletic Field and Amphitheater Project, a Lease-Leaseback construction services project pursuant to Education Code �17406. The Project generally consists of conversion of the existing natural grass field to a new synthetic turf field, installation of a new scoreboard, construction of a cast-in-place concrete amphitheater, installation of new perimeter fencing and gates, and associated grading, drainage, utility, electrical, accessibility, and site improvements. Subcontractor bids shall be received no later than March 25, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Bids shall be submitted electronically to skent@kentconstruction.com. Each subcontractor is responsible for ensuring timely receipt of its bid. Contract Documents, including plans, specifications, and addenda, shall be available beginning February 19, 2026 through the Central Coast Builders Exchange plan room. Larry S. Kent, Inc. will award subcontracts based upon the best value criteria permitted under Education Code �17406 and as authorized by the District's governing board. Each subcontractor's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of submission and must remain so throughout the duration of the Project. Each subcontractor shall comply with registration requirements pursuant to Labor Code Sections 1725.5 and 1771.1. This Project is subject to prevailing wage requirements pursuant to Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq., apprenticeship requirements pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5, and Skilled and Trained Workforce requirements pursuant to Public Contract Code Sections 2600 et seq. and Education Code Section 17407.5. Requests for Information shall be submitted in writing no later than March 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. to Sam Kent at skent@kentconstruction.com. Larry S. Kent, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities.
