S+B James Construction is Seeking Subcontractor Bids for the Stockton USD Primary Years Academy Expansion Project.
Project Description: Construction of new classroom building upgraded electrical service and associated site work. Site work includes but is not limited to accessible path of travel, concrete walkways, parking and fencing. Trade work to include:
Surveying, Demolition, Concrete, Metals, Rough Carpentry, Casework, Roofing, Fiber Cement Siding, Glass & Glazing, DFH, Drywall & Insulation, Cement Plaster, Ceramic Tile, Acoustical Ceilings, Flooring, Painting, Specialties, FRP Paneling, Signage, Fire Sprinkler, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical & LV, Earthwork
Landscape, Fence & Gates, Site Utilities
Project Location: 3830 North Webster Ave., Stockton CA
Project Duration: June 15, 2026 - August 20,2027
Architect: Community Architecture, Inc.
Project Labor Requirements: Prevailing Wage, Certified Payroll, Skilled and Trained Workforce as defined in Chapter 2.9 (Section 2600et seq.) of the Public Contract Code. There is a PLA on this project.
S+B James is signatory to the Carpenters and Laborers Union. All scopes under Carpenters and Laborers must use labor from respective unions.
Contractor Pre-Qualification: Any MEP contractor seeking a subcontract must be prequalified pursuant to Education Code section 17406(a)(2)(C) and Public Contract Code section 20111.6(b) through (m). An "MEP Contractor" is one who will perform work that requires one of the following classes of license: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46. SUSD uses PQ Bids (https://pqbids.com/) to prequalify contractors. Prequalification must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the RFQ/P due date and approved at least five (5) business days in advance of the bid date.
