NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS Vallejo Unified School District (hereinafter "District") invites proposals from contractors for a lease-leaseback contract to perform construction services for the Portables Replacement Projects at Steffan Manor, Federal Terrace, and Glen Cove ("Project"). Copies of the Request for Proposals (RFP) containing further details may be obtained by contacting tcruz@vcusd.org. All proposers are required to read and completely familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions of the RFP, and to submit all necessary paperwork as specified in the RFP, which is incorporated herein by reference. The District reserves the right to postpone the opening of proposals, accept or reject any and all proposals, and to waive any informality in any proposal, all as District deems to be in its own best interests. This is a public works project and is subject to prevailing wage requirements and the successful proposer, and each of its subcontractors, shall be required to comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Wage rates can be obtained from the District by request. All proposers, and all subcontractors listed in any proposal, must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to California Labor Code section 1725.5. The Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Contractors shall be required to provide payment and performance bonds for the project. Contractors must have a B license. A mandatory site walk will occur on April 22, 2026. Firms submitting responses must be prequalified pursuant to Education Code section 17406. Prequalification takes place in advance of submitting a response, and prequalification applications are available from the email address above. The prequalification applications are due by April 21, 2026 and the deadline for submitting proposals shall be 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2026.
