NOTICE INVITING BIDSNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Alhambra Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as “District”, will receive sealed bids for the following project:BID NO. 1332-25/26 – BRIGHTWOOD HARDSCAPE PROJECT (“Project” or “Contract”)The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to demolish and remove from site those area denoted to be replaced as stipulated and implied in the contract documents. Contract Documents (as defined in the accompanying form of Agreement included in this Bid Package) are available as of 3/23/26 , on the District website at www.ausd.us under Departments>Purchasing Department .The Contract Scope of Work must be completed in its entirety prior to August 7, 2026 . NO EXCEPTIONS!The available fund for this Project is estimated at $300,000 .Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 14 th 2026, at the District’s Purchasing Department Office, 1515 West Mission Road, Alhambra, California 91803 . All bids shall be on the form provided by the District and must be responsive. Any bids received after the time specified above or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened.There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk at 10:00 AM on Monday , March 30 th , 2026 , at the Brightwood ES site, located at 1701 Brightwood St., Monterey Park, CA, 91754. Meet at the front office but do not go into the office. Walk duration will be approximately one and a half (1.5) hours. Any Contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend the entire mandatory site visit will be deemed a non-responsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened.Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class A License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor’s California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder’s proposal. Bidder and subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder’s registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents.Bidder is required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (“DVBE”) goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation while bidding this project.
Request for Information : Pre-Bid Clarifications (RFI’s) regarding this Invitation for Bid must be received in writing to Elizabeth Roman at bids@ausd.us by 10:00 AM on Monday , April 6 th , 2026 . Responses will be issued by 10:00 AM on Thursday , April 9 th , 2026 via email and/or website posting.
