Proposals for food distribution services due April 2, 2026.

NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Notice is hereby given that, on behalf of thirty member districts in the San Gabriel Valley Food Services Cooperative Purchasing Group, the Board of Education for the EL MONTE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (District), EL MONTE, CA (Los Angeles County), will receive sealed proposals for Request for Proposal Number # 2026-01 for the procurement of the following:
Frozen and Refrigerated Food Distribution
Proposals must be submitted online via the El Monte City School District Planetbids Portal no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 2, 2026 . Proposals shall be opened in public at 4:01 pm on April 2, 2026 through the Planetbids Portal.
The District is not responsible for proposals sent via the U.S. Mail, UPS, Federal Express, or by any other delivery service. It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure that their proposal is submitted online. Each proposal must conform and be responsive to the contract documents. No proposal may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days.
The District, on behalf of the purchasing group, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any discrepancy or technicality, and to award the contract for goods or services to other than the lowest proposal. The award of contract, if made by the District, will be to the qualified firm whose bid best complies with all the requirements set forth in the proposal documents and whose proposal, in the opinion of the District while complying with all legal requirements, is in the best interest of the member districts in the purchasing group, taking into consideration all aspects of the contractor’s response, including the total net cost.
This RFP is for a fixed-price contract. Price will be the primary factor for the award of the contract.An optional Bidders Conference for the purpose of acquainting prospective bidders with the unique requirements of the purchasing group will be held on March 18, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. on Google Meet meet.google.com/ipg-qmqj-iyr .
