NOTICE INVITING BIDS N Ave Traffic Circles (NonPLA), CIP No. 2508 PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of National City invites bids for the above stated Project and will receive such bids only by electronic submission through the vendor PlanetBids up to the hour of 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The National City PlanetBids link for downloading the project documents is: http://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=24103 The general scope of work is to complete the construction of traffic calming improvements along N Avenue, including, but not limited to installation of traffic circles at the intersections of N Avenue and E 20th Street and E 22nd Street, as shown on the plans and specified herein. The project includes demolition and removal of existing roadway, curb, gutter, sidewalk, striping, and appurtenances; grading and preparation of subgrade; construction of concrete traffic circles, curb and gutter, sidewalks, cross gutters, and pedestrian improvements; placement of aggregate base and asphalt concrete paving; installation of pavement markings, striping, signage, and traffic control devices; and adjustment of existing utilities, manholes, and valve covers to grade. Additional work includes traffic control and temporary traffic handling, protection and relocation of existing utilities as required, coordination with adjacent properties and agencies, and restoration of all disturbed areas. All work shall be completed in accordance with the contract plans, Standard Specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. This is a prevailing wage, PLA project with an estimated construction cost of: $323,153 Base Bid. Bidders must possess a valid State of California A Contractor's License. This is a 60 working day contract. There will be a NONMANDATORY prebid meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. via Microsoft Teams Meeting.
