CITY COUNCIL OF UNION CITY NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Union City, at a regular meeting held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, passed and adopted the following ordinance: Ordinance No. 2026-003 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY AMENDING SECTION 2.21.020 "CREATION - MEMBERSHIP" OF THE UNION CITY MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADD A THIRD ALTERNATE COMMISSIONER TO THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION Summary: This ordinance amends the Union City Municipal Code to increase the number of alternate members authorized to serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission from two to three. The amendment is intended to enhance continuity and flexibility in commission participation by ensuring adequate representation when regular members are unavailable, while maintaining the commission's existing roles, responsibilities, and advisory authority.
