PUBLIC NOTICE Complaint Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County 43rd Judicial District Commonwealth of Pennsylvania No. 7142 CIVIL 2025 Richard Hackett, Carol Hackett, Melissa Lear and Nancy Lenz, Plaintiffs vs. Noemi Mirra, Defendant TO: NOEMI MIRRA You are hereby notified that, on December 4, 2025, Plaintiffs Richard Hackett, Carol Hackett, Melissa Lear and Nancy Lenz filed a Complaint against you in the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County, Pennsylvania, docketed to Number 7142 Civil 2025. The Complaint, which was endorsed with a Notice to Defend, alleged, in essence in summary form, as follows: 1. Plaintiffs are true, honest and virtuous citizens of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and have, at all times, abided by and conducted themselves in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; 2. At various times throughout 2024 and 2025, you, both in your individual capacity and in your capacity as a member of the Board of Directors of Stones Throw Property Owners Association, stated in front of witnesses that Plaintiffs were thieves and liars; 3. You intended to deprive Plaintiffs of their good names and reputations, and to bring them in to disrepute with members of the Stones Throw Property Owners Association; 4. Your utterances that Plaintiffs were thieves and liars constitute scandalous, defamatory words and are untrue; 5. Plaintiffs have been greatly hurt and injured in their good name and reputation and have been brought into disgrace and disrepute among members of Stones Throw Property Owners Association ever since the speaking and publication of the false, scandalous and defamatory words by you. Plaintiffs thereupon respectfully requested that the Court enter judgment against you in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars, together with costs, punitive damages, interest and all attorneys fees incurred by Plaintiffs. After the Complaint was filed, Plaintiffs attempted to make service of the Complaint upon you and you avoided service. Consequently, Plaintiffs filed a Motion in the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County and the Court Ordered that the above Notice be served upon you by publication as provided by the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure. You are hereby notified to appear and plead to the said Complaint within TWENTY (20) days after the publication of this Notice, or default judgment may be entered against you. If you wish to defend, you must enter a written appearance personally or by an Attorney and file your defenses or objections in writing with the Court. You are warned that if you fail to do so, the case may proceed without you and a judgment may be entered against you without further notice for the relief requested by the Plaintiff.
