Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience in designing and developing mission critical systems. Must also have 36 months of experience with each of the following: (1) designing and developing a large-scale event-driven solution processing large volume of data as well as improving processing speed through parallel streaming and batching operations, resulting in enhanced throughput and system efficiency; (2) maintaining mission critical systems including Ecommerce systems, architecting and developing backend components to support platforms that involve REST APIs, microservices, and integration with vendors by creating coherent designs using Micronaut, Spring, Kotlin, Java, MongoDB; (3) enhancing observability for backend microservices by comprehending operational data, developing metrics, and improving logging as well as implementing visualizations using Grafana, coupled with alerts; (4) designing, managing, and optimizing advanced data models in PostgreSQL databases, utilizing parallel programming techniques and efficient query strategies; (5) developing robust SQL schemas, implementing complex queries, and enhancing performance through normalization and indexing; and (6) working with frontend technologies including NPM, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. This position is hybrid. A candidate may work from the company’s San Francisco address or from the candidate’s home address, which must be within commuting distance, as authorized by a manager. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed. Salary: $187,574 to $224,000/year.
