NOTICE INVITING BIDS WEST VALLEY SANITATION DISTRICT OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA 100 East Sunnyoaks Avenue Campbell, California 95008 West Valley Sanitation District of Santa Clara County (DISTRICT) invites sealed bids for the MULTI-YEAR OPEN SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT CONTRACT. RECEIPT OF BIDS - Sealed bids will be received at the DISTRICT office at 100 East Sunnyoaks Avenue, Campbell, California, 95008, until 10:00 AM (local time), on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Routine and emergency sewer replacements of varying length on 4-inch to 8-inch sewer mains and laterals. The contract will be for an initial three fiscal year period from Fiscal Year 2025-2026 through 2027-2028 (ending June 30, 2028) with an option to extend the contract for up to three additional fiscal-years at the DISTRICT's sole discretion. The contract amount for each fiscal year will be $1,300,000. BIDDING DOCUMENTS - A copy of the Contract Documents may be obtained through the District's website at https://www.wvsdca.gov/bids.aspx. There is no charge for these documents. BID SECURITY - All bids shall be accompanied by certified check or cashier's check, or Bidder's Bond in the amount of $390,000 payable to "West Valley Sanitation District of Santa Clara County". LAWS AND REGULATIONS - Pursuant to Section 1770, California Labor Code, the successful Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and upon all subcontractors, shall pay no less than the general prevailing wage rates to all workers employed in the performance of the Contract. Pursuant to Section 1771.1, California Labor Code, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public works, unless currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations as a public works contractor. Contractor shall possess a valid Class A, General Engineering license at the time of the bid opening and for the duration of the contract.
