CITY OF CAPITOLA NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Department of Public Works for the City of Capitola is currently advertising for bids for construction of the following project: 41ST AVENUE MULTIMODAL IMPROVEMENTS AND PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT General work description: The project includes rehabilitation of the existing pavement with Partial Depth Recycling (PDR) from Clares Street to the County/City boundary along 41st Avenue. The project also includes striping and signing improvements to improve bicycle accessibility and lane selection for wayfinding. This includes the replacement of two signal poles and one curb ramp/return at the intersection of Gross Road and 41st Avenue; signal modifications at the State Route (SR) 1 southbound ramp terminal intersection; pavement markings for SR-1 wayfinding; and bicycle facility improvements. Project funding is supported by local tax Measure D and SB 1. The total estimated cost of construction is $1,700,000 Bids are due on or before 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 16th, 2026.
