NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A NEGATIVE DECLARATION Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Who: County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works What: County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works is proposing to construct a Sheriff Substation in the town of Nipomo. The project would be located on Tefft Street approximately 7 miles south of the City of Arroyo Grande in the town of Nipomo, an unincorporated area of the county. Where: Copies of the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration and all the associated documents referenced in the Mitigated Negative Declaration are available for review at on the County's website at https://www.slocounty.ca.gov /departments/public-works/forms-documents/environmental-determinations, as well as at the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works, 976 Osos Street, County Government Center Room 206, San Luis Obispo, CA 93408. Comments: The 30-day review and comment period for the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration begins on March 15, 2026 and ends on April 14, 2026. Written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the review period and should be addressed to: William Fox, Environmental Specialist, wafox@co.slo.ca.us, County Government Center, Room 206, San Luis Obispo, CA 93408.
