CITY OF SANTA FE SPRINGS SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 1168 Per Government Code Section 36933, a summary of Ordinance No. 1168 is as follows: First Reading Date: March 3, 2026 Second Reading, Public Hearing and Adoption Date: March 17, 2026Effective Date: April 16, 2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA FE SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA AMENDING SECTIONS 93.20 THROUGH 93.99 (FIREWORKS) OF CHAPTER 93 (FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION) OF TITLE IX (GENERAL REGULATIONS) OF THE SANTA FE SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE TO SUPPORT AN EFFECTIVE PERMIT APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND SAFE OPERATION OF FIREWORKS STANDS The Santa Fe Springs City Council will adopt Ordinance No. 1168 , amending Chapter 93 (Fire Prevention and Protection Regulations) of the Santa Fe Springs Municipal Code to revise Sections 93.20 through 93.99 (Fireworks) . Specifically, the ordinance amends Sections: 93.20 Time for Sale and Discharge. 93.22 Application for a Permit. 93.23 Prerequisites to Issuance of Permit. 93.24 Operation of Stand Regulations. 93.25 Temporary Sales Tax Permit Required. 93.32 Conflicting Provisions. 93.99 Penalty.
