De Minimis Settlement for the BKK Class I Landfill, West Covina, California
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control ("DTSC") has reached a proposed
$8,977,754.19 settlement with 78 small hazardous waste contributors, called de minimis parties, for the BKK Class I Landfill (the "Site"). This notice announces the California Regulatory Notice Register publication of April 03, 2026, requesting public comment on the proposed settlement. This settlement is the ninth in a series of de minimis settlements and is an important step toward completion of necessary response and/or remediation actions at the Site. The public comment period will end on May 04, 2026. Please send written comments postmarked or emailed by that date to: BKK Third Party Initiative, 8800 Cal Center Drive, Sacramento, CA 95826 or BKKPRPsupport@dtsc.ca.gov.
