LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF CUPERTINO FIRST READING ORDINANCE NO. 26-2281 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting of Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the Cupertino City Council conducted the first reading, as amended, of Ordinance No. 26-2281: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AMENDING CHAPTERS 16.02, 16.04, 16.06, 16.10, 16.16, 16.20, 16.24, 16.40, 16.42, 16.54, 16.58, 16.62, 16.64, 16.68 AND 16.80 OF TITLE 16 OF THE CUPERTINO MUNICIPAL CODE ADOPTING THE CALIFORNIA BUILDING, RESIDENTIAL, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, ENERGY, WILDLAND-URBAN INTERFACE CODE, HISTORICAL BUILDING CODE, FIRE, EXISTING BUILDING CODE, GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS CODE, REFERENCED STANDARDS CODE, UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, AND PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS, ADDITIONS AND AMENDMENTS." The second reading is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 6:45 p.m. in the Council Chamber in the Community Hall, City of Cupertino and via a teleconference. Complete copies may be requested by contacting the City Clerk's office by email at cityclerk@cupertino.org or by telephone at 408-777-3223. Members of the public will be able to observe and address the meeting in person, telephonically, or otherwise electronically from the City's website through procedures that will be detailed in the published meeting agenda. If you wish to challenge the City Council's action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written or electronic correspondence delivered to the City of Cupertino City Hall 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, CA 95014 at, or prior to, the meeting.
