CITY OF RED BLUFF PUBLIC NOTICE of PUBLIC HEARING Notice of Intent to Consider Ordinance Adoption Regarding the Public Records Act NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Red Bluff City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at 555 Washington Street, regarding the following project: Staff proposes that the City Council consider adopting an Ordinance establishing policies and procedures to comply with the California Public Records Act (Government Code Section 7920.000 et seq.). The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input regarding the proposed ordinance, which adopts formal procedures for submitting public records requests, the timeframe for agency response (10-day determination), procedures for inspection and copying of public records, and fee schedules for duplication of records. Copies of the proposed ordinance are on file with the Deputy City Clerk and are available for public inspection at City Hall during regular business hours, or on the City of Red Bluff website at City of RedBluff.org. The City Council meeting agenda will be posted 72 hours prior to the public meeting at https://redbluffca.iqm2.com/citizens/default.aspx Any person may appear and be heard at the public hearing, and interested parties are encouraged to submit written comments on the above-noted project. If you have any questions or would like to review the project information, please contact Beth Lindauer, Community Development Director. Also, if you wish to direct questions or comments to the City Council, please attend the Public Hearing or send your written comments to the City Council. You may leave your written comments at City Hall, present them at the Public Hearing, or mail them to the contact noted below. We are sorry, but City staff cannot forward verbal comments or questions to the City Council. Verbal comments or questions must come from you during the Public Hearing. All written comments should be sent to the City of Red Bluff, Community Development Department, 555 Washington Street, Red Bluff, CA 96080. As stated previously, final approval of the municipal code amendments will require City Council adoption at a date to be determined. In accordance with Government Code Section 65009, if any person challenges the City Council in court, said person may be limited to only those issues that were raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in the written correspondence delivered to the City Council at or prior to the public hearing.
