Ordinance rescinds previous speed limit regulations for streamlined updates.

PUBLIC NOTICESUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 2026-1129NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Yorba Linda, at its meeting of April 21, 2026, adopted the following Ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YORBA LINDA RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 2014-1007 REGARDING ESTABLISHING CITYWIDE POSTED SPEED LIMITS
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-1129 – would rescind, repeal and declare to be of no further force or effect Ordinance No. 2014-1007, which established citywide posted speed limits. Rescinding Ordinance No. 2014-1007 allows the City to update posted speed limits by resolution instead of ordinance. This change will streamline future speed limit updates. All speed limits in Yorba Linda will remain in effect and enforceable during the administrative transition.
