ANNOUNCEMENT OF BOARD VACANCY AND PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION Travis Unified School District April 29, 2026 Trustee member Manuela Galvan recently provided their resignation, creating a vacancy in Trustee Area 1 of the Travis Unified Governing Board. The Board member vacancy will be filled by Board appointment. Beginning on April 29, 2026 and ending at noon on May 27, 2026, the Board will be accepting applications to fill this position. The application is available at www.travisusd.org or you may complete in-person at the District Office, 2751 De Ronde Drive, Fairfield, CA 94533. To be considered as an applicant, a person must meet the eligibility requirements, which include being 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the state, a resident of the District and Trustee Area 1, a registered voter, and not otherwise disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the state from holding a civil office. The Board anticipates meeting in an open session Board meeting on June 9, 2026 (6:00 pm) at Vanden High School, 2951 Markeley Lane, Fairfield, CA 94533 to review all applications, interview, and appoint a candidate. Candidates should make themselves available for this meeting. Applications will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the District Office, beginning on April 29, 2026.
