Public Notice: US Steel Property Holdings, LLC Department of Toxic Substance Control _____________________________________________________ Public Notice of Class 1* Permit Modification U.S. Steel Property Holdings, LLC owns the hazardous waste management unit located at 900 Loveridge Road in Pittsburg, California. The unit, known as the Waste Management Unit I Corrective Action Management Unit (CAMU), is regulated under a hazardous waste permit issued by the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). On March 9, 2026, the facility submitted a Class 1* Permit Modification request to DTSC's Permitting Division in Sacramento to update the permit to reflect a change in ownership from USS UPI, LLC to U.S. Steel Property Holdings, LLC. DTSC has reviewed the submittal and concurs with the pages identified for update within the facility's Permit Application. This permit modification is administrative in nature and does not change the operation, design, or function of the CAMU. The modification updates the owner name on the permit, and U.S. Steel Property Holdings, LLC will continue to perform all required groundwater monitoring, inspections, and maintenance activities associated with the post closure unit.
