NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE BEAUMONT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT REGARDING THE CONVEYANCE OF EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE DISTRICT PROPERTY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN , pursuant to Education Code Section 17558, that the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of the Beaumont Unified School District (“District”) has adopted Resolution No. 2025-26-29 (“Resolution of Intent”). This Resolution of Intent, adopted on March 24, 2026, declares the Board’s intention to convey to Southern California Edison (“SCE”) certain easement (“Easement”) over the District’s property (“Property”), which is identified as Assessor Parcel Number 401-230-003 and located adjacent to San Gorgonio Middle School. The Easement allows SCE to construct certain electric vehicle (“EV”) charging infrastructures on the Property, which are necessary to install EV charging stations that will be used to charge District-owned EVs.A copy of the Resolution of Intent is on file at the District’s office located at 350 West Brookside Ave. Beaumont, CA 92223 (“District Office”). Pursuant to Education Code Sections 17557 and 17559, the Board is calling a public hearing on this matter. The public hearing will be held on April 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, at the Board’s usual meeting location at the District Office to consider the proposed conveyance of the Easement to SCE.At such time and place, the Board will receive public comments and public protests, if any, with regard to this matter. Comments may be submitted in writing or orally to the Board at the time of such public hearing.
