CITY OF CHICO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING AMENDMENT OF THE CITY'S FEE SCHEDULE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Chico will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Chico Municipal Center, 421 Main Street, for the purpose of considering amending the City's Fee Schedule. Under Chico Municipal Code provisions and budget policies, certain fees may be adjusted annually based on specific inflation indexes. Inflation indexes are as follows: o Consumer Price Index (CPI) is based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Consumer Price Index at February 2026. o Construction Cost Index (CCI) is based on the Engineering News Record (ENR) City Cost Index for San Francisco at March 2026. o Highway Construction Items Cost Index (HCI) is based on the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Price Index for Selected Highway Construction Items at December 2025. o Personnel Compensation (PC) is based on non-safety employees' compensation and benefit rate adjustments based on applicable employee agreements. o Safety Compensation (SAFE) is based on safety employees' compensation and benefit rate adjustments based on applicable employee agreements.
