ASSESSMENT NOTICE (WATER CODE SECTIONS 39057 AND 47102) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a copy of the report of the Board of Directors of the Tulare Lake Basin Water Storage District for the purpose of raising an additional sum for the operation of the District or for the conduct and management of the District through the levying of Supplementary Assessment No. 21 has been filed with the Secretary of said District; NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the estimated amount of the Assessment is $1,848,369.80 based on $10.00 per Acre Assessment; NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said report may be inspected by any person interested therein; NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on June 14, 2022, the Board of Directors adopted an Engineer’s Report in support of the proposed Supplementary Assessment as required by Article XIIID, section 4, of the California Constitution and notice was mailed on June 22, 2022. On August 9, 2022, the Board of Directors held a public hearing to receive public comment and to consider all protests against the proposed Supplementary Assessment. At the conclusion of the tabulation, it was determined a majority protest did not exist, as the ballots submitted and not withdrawn opposing the assessment did not exceed the ballots submitted in favor of the assessment; NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that you may obtain additional information about the Assessment by contacting the District at the above address or by phone at (559) 992-4127; NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1001 Chase Avenue, Corcoran, California, is the time, date, and place when the board will consider the Supplementary Assessment. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board may adopt the report and order a Supplementary Assessment.
