NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Public Hearings will be held before the Hesperia City Council, City of Hesperia, California on the following date: DATE OF HEARING: May 19, 2026 (Tuesday) TIME OF HEARING: 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible PLACE OF HEARING: City of Hesperia, Council Chambers, 9700 Seventh Avenue, Hesperia, CA 92345 FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 2025 MOJAVE REGIONAL URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Hesperia, acting as the Board of Directors of the Hesperia Water District (District), will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed 2025 Mojave Regional Urban Water Management Plan (RUWMP), which includes the Hesperia Water District Retail Chapter (Chapter 11), as well as the District’s Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP). The 2025 Mojave RUWMP is a regional planning document prepared collaboratively by the Mojave Water Agency (MWA) and participating urban water retail suppliers within the Mojave Region in accordance with the California Urban Water Management Planning Act. The RUWMP includes regional chapters addressing basin-wide water supplies, water demands, and water service reliability; the MWA Wholesale Urban Water Management Plan; and urban water retail supplier-specific chapters for each participating urban water supplier. The Hesperia Water District Retail Chapter (Chapter 11) addresses conditions specific to the District’s service area, including water service and system description, population and land use, water supply and infrastructure, water use characterization, water conservation and shortage response, and water system reliability. The District’s WSCP describes the actions the District may implement to respond to water shortage conditions and maintain essential water service reliability. The District is considering adoption of the regional chapters of the 2025 Mojave RUWMP, together with the Hesperia Water District Retail Chapter (Chapter 11) and the District’s Water Shortage Contingency Plan. Copies of the draft 2025 Mojave RUWMP, including the Hesperia Water District Retailer Chapter (Chapter 11), and the District’s WSCP are available for public review at 9700 Seventh Avenue Hesperia, CA 92345 during regular business hours and online at https://hesperiaca.gov/1468/Urban-Water-Management-Plan. Any person interested in the proposals may contact the City Clerk’s Office at 9700 Seventh Avenue, Hesperia, California, 760.947.1007 during normal business hours. The pertinent information will be available for public inspection at the above address.
