NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DESERT RECREATION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS FEES AND CHARGES POLICY MANUAL UPDATE FOR FY 2026-27 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of Desert Recreation District will conduct a public hearing to consider adopting increases to fees and charges for parks, facilities, programs, and services. DATE: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 TIME: 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as it may be heard LOCATION: Indio Community Center Board Room, 45-871 Clinton Street, Indio, CA 92201 SUBJECT: Consideration of a resolution updating the District’s Fees and Charges Policy Manual (also known as Administrative Policy 601), including but not limited to fees for facility rentals, recreation programs, sports leagues, and park use. Proposed changes include increased fees and charges for the following recreational programs and facilities: • Pricing and Cost Recovery • Administrative Fees • Advertising Fees (Champions Banner Sponsorship Program) • Community Center Rental Fees • Full Cost Recovery Programs • Full Subsidy Programs • Individual Benefit Programs • Merit Pricing Programs • Program Refund • Park Facility Rental Fees • Special Event Outdoor Rentals • Team Member Discount Policy • The Golf Center at Palm Desert - Facility and Equipment • The Golf Center at Palm Desert - Greens and Range Fees Any person wishing to be heard regarding the increase to these fees and charges may attend and speak at the public hearing, and/or submit written comments to the District Clerk, either via US Mail to 45-305 Oasis Street, Indio, CA 92201, or via email to clerk@drd.us.com. Oral testimony will be heard at the time of the hearing in support or opposition to the proposed changes.
