THE CITY OF JURUPA VALLEYNOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING Case Number: Master Application No. 26050 (MA26050) consisting of Zoning Code Amendment No. 26001 (ZCA26001). Location: Citywide. Project: Amends Title 9 of the Jurupa Valley Municipal Code Chapter 9.240 (General Provisions) Section 9.240.290 (Accessory Dwelling Units) to update accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling unit regulations in accordance with State law.Environmental Review – The proposed Zoning Code Amendment (ZCA26001) is exempt from CEQA pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15282(h) and 15061(b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption) because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility the action may have a significant effect on the environment. Any future discretionary approvals or physical implementation actions, if any, would be subject to further CEQA review as applicable. Comments: The City Council will conduct a public hearing on May 7, 2026, to consider a recommendation from the Planning Commission that ZCA26001 be adopted to amend regulations pertaining to accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units in accordance with State law. Any person wishing to comment may do so in writing, between the date of this notice and the public hearing. All comments received prior to the public hearing will be submitted to the City Council, which will consider such comments, in addition to any oral testimony, before making a decision.
