NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF MARINA PROPOSED USER FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Marina will hold a public hearing at a Regular Meeting on TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2026, AT 6:30 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers, 211 Hillcrest Ave, Marina, CA 93393 to consider the adoption of: Updates to the City's User Fees and Service Charges. The City Council adopted a Fee Study Update on July 2, 2024, with the fees becoming effective on September 1, 2024. Subsequently, the City Council amended the City's Master Fee Schedule for inflation and other changes, which became effective October 6, 2025, and November 3, 2025. The proposed updates to the Master Fee Schedule include adjustments by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to reflect inflation, new fees, and certain other changes. The City's user fees and service charges recover all or a percentage of the City's costs for providing services that benefit individuals, rather than the entire community. The City's proposed Fees and Service Charges will be adopted by resolution in accordance with Proposition 26, Government Code sections 66016; and the Marina Municipal Code Chapter 3.24 Fee and Service Charge Revenue/Cost Comparison System. The prior fee study and the proposed updates will be available for review with the City Clerk at least ten (10) days prior to the meeting as well as posted on the City's website: www.cityofmarina.org. Arrangements for reviewing the materials or obtaining copies of the original study can be made by contacting the City Clerk's Office at (831) 884-1278 or by email: marina@cityofmarina.org. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES are invited to attend the hearing and express opinions or submit evidence for or against the proposed fees described above. At the above noted time and place, testimony from interested persons will be heard by the City Council and duly considered prior to taking action on the above proposed fees. Any material submitted to the City Council for consideration (photographs, petitions, letters, etc.) will be retained by the City and cannot be returned. On request, the agenda and the documents for this hearing item can be made available to persons with a disability. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City encourages those with disabilities to participate fully in the public hearing process. Any person requiring special assistance to participate in the meeting should notify the City Clerk's Office by calling (831) 884-1278 or in person at Marina City Hall, 211 Hillcrest Ave, Marina, CA 93933 at least forty-eight (48) hours before the meeting.
