PUBLIC NOTICEHEARING ON ADOPTION OF DEVELOPER FEE JUSTIFICATION STUDYHEARING ON INCREASE IN DEVELOPER FEES
NOTICE IS HERE TO BE GIVEN that at 6:00 p.m. on May 13, 2026, in the Riverdale Joint Unified School District Community Education Center Boardroom, the Governing Board of the Riverdale Joint Unified School District will consider a Resolution to adopt a Developer Fee Justification Study. A copy of the Developer Fee Justification Study will be available for viewing of interested parties at the Riverdale Community Education Center ten days prior to the public hearing.
The Governing Board will also consider the adoption of a Resolution to increase the existing fee on development projects within the boundaries of the district for the purpose of funding construction or reconstruction of school facilities pursuant to Education Code section 17620. This increase fee would apply to new commercial and industrial construction, to new residential construction, and to the extent of increase in assessable space, to other residential construction as provided by law.The Governing Board will consider its exemption from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") relative to the increase in the fee and the adoption of a Notice of Exemption pursuant to Education Code section 17621, subd. (a).
Any interested party may make an oral or written presentation at the public meeting. The Riverdale Joint Unified School District has made available to the public data indicating the amount or estimated amount required to provide the service for which the fee would be levied, and the revenue sources anticipated to prove the service, including general fund revenues. Such data may be obtained at the Riverdale Joint Unified School District, Community Education Center, located at 3160 W. Mt. Whitney Ave., Riverdale, California 93656 or by contacting Jeff Percell, Superintendent at (559) 867-8200.
