Metropolitan TransportationCommission Notice of Public Hearing In June 2018, Bay Area voters approved Regional Measure 3 (RM3), a toll increase on the region's state-owned toll bridges by $1 beginning Jan. 1, 2019, by another $1 in January 2022, and a final $1 increase in January 2025. In fiscal year 2025-26, the RM3 toll revenue is expected to generate approximately $337 million in funding for specified capital and operating projects to reduce traffic congestion in the region. Pursuant to Section 30914.7(e) of the California Streets and Highways Code, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is required to consult with the project sponsor and hold a public hearing in advance of consideration of action to program or reassign RM3 funds to a new or other project or modify the project's scope. MTC proposes modifying the scopes of Projects 13, 25, 32, 33, and 34. These proposed changes are within the same bridge corridor or for investments consistent with the intent of RM3.
