SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACANT MEMBER/ALTERNATE POSITIONS FOR APCD HEARING BOARD Notice is hereby given that the Air Pollution Control District Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers of the County Government Center, located at 1055 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo, State of California, to review applications and appoint members for the following: The San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) Hearing Board is recruiting for six positions. Public Member Public Member Alternate Attorney Member Attorney Member Alternate Medical Member Alternate Engineer Member Alternate The APCD Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial body whose purpose is to hear requests from regulated industry for variances from rules, hear requests for emergency variances at the time of a prolonged upset or breakdown, and other areas of jurisdiction set by the State Health and Safety Code. Membership requirements for the Hearing Board are defined in state law and specify members and alternates consist of an attorney admitted to the practice of law in California, a registered professional engineer (registration may be waived if the Board of Directors cannot select a registered applicant), a member of the medical profession, and two public members. Applications for these six positions are being accepted from April 27 to June 1, 2026. Applications can be submitted via email or U.S. mail at the addresses listed below. Applications submitted by mail must be postmarked no later than June 1, 2026.
