NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2026/2027 BENEFIT ASSESSMENT RATE REPORT SANTA CRUZ COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT - ZONE 7 ************************************************************************************ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 10:45 a.m. or thereafter via remote platform and at 701 Ocean Street, Room 525, the Board of Directors of the Santa Cruz County Flood Control and Water Conservation District - Zone 7 will consider adoption of a resolution confirming the benefit assessment report for the 2026/2027 fiscal year for the District. The 2026/2027 rates are as follows: LAND USE 2025/2026 RATE 2026/2027 RATE Residential Property $ 101.01 per residence $ 103.23 per residence Agricultural Acreage $ 13.81 per acre $ 14.11 per acre Unimproved Acreage $ 1.32 per acre $ 1.35 per acre Commercial/Industrial Acreage $ 674.27 per acre $ 689.10 per acre Churches/Schools Acreage $ 168.41 per acre $ 172.12 per acre ************************************************************************************ The benefit assessment rate report will be available for public inspection on or before March 24, 2026, at the Clerk of the Board, 701 Ocean Street, Room 520, Santa Cruz, California. Upon the conclusion of the Public Hearing on the benefit assessment rate report, the Board of Directors may adopt, revise, change, reduce, or modify the report as needed. Notice is further given that at the time, date, and place stated above, the Board of Directors shall hear and consider all objections or protests, if any, to the rate report. For questions related to the proposed benefit assessment rate report, please contact Santa Cruz County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, Zone 7 staff at (831) 454-2160.
