NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Santa Cruz County (LAFCO) will hold a public hearing on the following items: Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27: Adoption of a final budget for the new fiscal year. The review, approval, and notice of this budget will be consistent with Government Code Section 56381. City of Scotts Valley Service and Sphere of Influence Review: Consideration of a service and sphere review for the City of Scotts Valley, which is located in the Valley area and encompasses five square miles with a population of approximately 12,000 residents. In compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), LAFCO staff is scheduled to prepare a Categorical Exemption for the proposals listed above. Instructions for members of the public to participate in-person or remotely are available in the Agenda and Agenda Packet: https://santacruzlafco.org/meetings/. During the meeting, the Commission will consider oral or written comments from any interested person. Maps, written reports, environmental review documents and further information can be obtained by contacting LAFCO's staff at (831) 454-2055 or from LAFCO's website at www.santacruzlafco.org.
