NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNotice is hereby given that the City of Stanton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 7800 Katella Avenue Stanton CA 90680, to consider: Site Plan and Design Review (SPDR-823), Planned Development Permit (PDP 24-01), Tentative Tract Map (TTM No. 19330), and Development Agreement (DA 26-01): A request to allow in-fill development of a horizontal mixed-use development consisting of 159 townhomes and 15,949 square feet of commercial buildings with modifications to certain parking standards for the residential component. The project site is in the Industrial General (IG) Zone within the General Mixed-Use Overlay. Project Location: 8042 Katella Avenue (APN(s): 131-101-01, 15, 16, 18, 21), Stanton, CA 90680. In accordance with the requirements of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the project is exempt pursuant to Assembly Bill 130 codified in Public Resources Code Section 21080.66. The project meets the eligibility requirements for urban infill development meeting the criteria specified therein. A copy of all relevant material is available for inspection on the City of Stanton website at www.StantonCA.gov after 6:00 p.m. on March 12, 2026. For specific information pertaining to this project, please contact Stanton City Hall at (714) 890-4293. You and all interested persons are invited to attend and speak at the public hearing either for or against this matter. If you are not able to attend, comments can be emailed to communitydevelopment@stantonca.gov. Comments received before the scheduled meeting will be provided to the Planning Commission and made available to the public before the start of the meeting. Staff will not read e-mailed comments at the meeting, but the official record will include all e-mailed comments. After reviewing reports, written public comment and listening to public comment at the hearing, the Planning Commission will vote to recommend approval or denial of the request to the City Council. The Planning Commission may also vote to make this decision at a future Planning Commission meeting. In either case, the decision will be made at a meeting open to the public.
