NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING SUNNYVALE SCHOOL DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Sunnyvale School District ("District") at its regular meeting on Thursday, March 26 , 2026, will conduct a public hearing to consider approving and adopting the 2026 Developer Fee Justification Study for Sunnyvale School District ("Fee Study"), and adopting a Resolution of the Board to approve the statutory fee rates of $5.38/sq. ft. of assessable space for residential development, and $0.87/sq. ft. of chargeable covered and enclosed space for commercial/industrial projects (except rental self-storage projects). Pursuant to its fee sharing agreement with the Fremont Union High School District, the District will be collecting 61.8% of the statutory rates, which would be $3.32/sq.ft. for residential and $0.54/sq.ft. for commercial and industrial construction. The Developer Fee Justification Study will be made available for public review at least ten (10) days prior to adoption by the Board as required by law at both the District's Operations Office and the following link: [https://www.sesd.org/Page/5484]. On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the public hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m., or as soon as practicable thereafter, in the Sunnyvale School District Administrative Office, located at 819 West Iowa Avenue, in Sunnyvale. The public hearing will be held in-person, but will be streamed live. Instructions for public comments are on the District's webpage, and any written comments must be submitted to the Chief Business Officer by no later than 5:00 p.m. the day before the public hearing. Any person challenging the approval of the Fee Study or the adjusted statutory fee rates in a court of competent jurisdiction after the conclusion of the public hearing may be limited to only those issues raised at the hearing or in written correspondences received by the District by the submission deadline.
