Legal Notice 30-Day Comment Period for Mendocino National Forest Invasive Plant Treatment Project The Mendocino National Forest is initiating a 30 day public comment period for the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the forest-wide Invasive Plant Treatment Project. The Project proposes use of an Integrated Pest Management approach, including manual, mechanical, herbicide, grazing, prescribed fire, and biological control methods, to treat current and future nonnative invasive plant infestations across the Forest in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, and Tehama counties. Three alternatives are analyzed, including a No Herbicide Alternative and a No Action Alternative. The Draft EA is available at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r05/mendocino/projects/68999. The 30day comment period begins on the date of publication of this notice in the Chico Enterprise Record, which is the exclusive means for calculating the comment period. Comments must be specific to the proposed actions and include supporting reasons (36 CFR 218.2).
