NOTICE CALLING FOR FORMAL BIDS Travis Unified School District TUSD Schools Roof Replacement Project TUSD Project ID: 27001 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE TRAVIS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, OF THE COUNTY OF SOLANO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA is requesting sealed bids for the following project, Bid No. 27001 ("Project" or "Contract"): TUSD Schools Roof Replacement Project for the removal, repair, and replacement of roof systems at Vanden High School, Golden West Middle School, Cambridge Elementary School, Foxboro Elementary School, and the District Office Bldg. Sealed bids will need to be received at the: Business Services Office, 2751 De Ronde Drive, Fairfield, CA 94533 not later than April 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. local time. Bids will not be considered unless they are received by the proper time. No oral, telegraphic, electronic, facsimile, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to see that any bid submitted shall have sufficient time to be received by the Purchasing Office before the Bid Submittal Deadline. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening for bids except as provided pursuant to Public Contract Code section 5100, et seq. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work is generally described as but not limited to: Removal of existing failed layers of roofing material down to the substrate, replacing any dry rot, install a new seamless roofing system with all new flashing, and may include items like scuppers, skylights, and gutters. The work will be performed at four of our school sites and our District Office. Contractor to provide a 3-year workmanship warranty and a 40 Year manufacturer guarantee. JOB WALK: Travis Unified School District will conduct two MANDATORY job walks on the dates and times indicated below. All attendees will be required to sign in to be acknowledged as having attended one of the two bid walks. The job walk will start at Cambridge Elementary, 100 Cambridge Drive, Vacaville, CA 95687, and then travel to the remaining sites. All participants will be required to sign in. Failure to attend or tardiness will render bid ineligible. Dates are: Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. BID DOCUMENTS: Interested vendors are referred to the Travis Unified School District website for details, instructions, bid forms and addenda. It is the responsibility of the bidder to visit the website for all communication and updates. Each bid shall be made on forms prepared by the District in the Contract Documents. Bid packets will be available on or after April 2, 2026, and can be accessed at: https://www.travisusd.org/departments/facilities/rfpsbidscupccaa To bid on this Project, pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, all prime contractors for District projects using state general funds, funds received pursuant to the Leroy F. Greene School Facilities Act of 1998, or any funds received, including funds reimbursed, from any future state school bond for a public project that involves a projected expenditure of $1,000,000 or more must be prequalified. Pre-qualification documents can be found on the District website at https://www.travisusd.org/departments/facilities/rfpsbidscupccaa. Pre-qualification packages must be received by Monday, April 20, 2026, by 4:00 p.m., at the Business Services Department 2751 De Ronde Drive, Fairfield, CA 94533. Questions must be submitted by Thursday, April 16, 2026, by 2:00 p.m. to Facilities@TravisUSD.org. Following the pre-bid walk, all potential contractors will be able to submit requests for information or clarifications. Questions will not be accepted after the date above. Responses to questions will be posted on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, by 12:00 p.m. All questions and answers will be available to all bidders and posted on the District's web site at: https://www.travisusd.org/departments/facilities/rfpsbidscupccaa. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Either A, B, or C-39 depending upon bid proposal ALL BIDDERS MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS BY THE BID DUE DATE AND TIME: Prequalification Packet available on the District's website Signed RFQ/P Form Completed Subcontractor List (if applicable) Include Performance & Payment Bond Fees in Bid The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday/overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, (DIR) for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or the DIR website at: http://www.dir.ca.gov . This project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ALL BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL BE RETURNED UNOPENED. TUSD WILL NOT ACCEPT ORAL, TELEGRAPHIC, ELECTRONIC, FACSIMILE, OR TELEPHONIC BIDS. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER TO AEE THAT ANY BID SUBMITTED SHALL HAVE SUFFICIENT TIME TO BE RECEIVED BY THE BUSINESS SERVICES DEPARTMENT BEFORE THE BID SUBMITTAL DEADLINE.
