NOTICE OF INTENT TO REMOVE WORKS OF FINE ART (MURALS) FROM REAL PROPERTY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Foundation (the Owner), located at 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90007, intends to remove from the Owner's premises the following works of fine art (collectively, the Murals), painted by Jerome Connolly and Elma Connolly: Mural A : A Scene of Prehistoric People Crossing Beringia Mural B : A Dire Wolf Pack Hunting at Twilight (background scene for a diorama). Mural C : A Scene of Pleistocene Animal and Plant Life at Rancho La Brea Location of the Murals. The Murals are currently located at/within The La Brea Tar Pits and Museum (formerly the George C. Page Museum) at 5801 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036. Proposed Removal. The Owner intends to remove the Murals on or after July 1, 2026 (the Earliest Removal Date). Removal is anticipated to occur at the location stated above. Purpose of Notice. This notice is published to provide an opportunity for eligible persons or organizations to express interest in preserving the Murals prior to their removal, consistent with applicable California law governing notice in connection with removal of fine art affixed to real property.
