SHASTA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCE MANAGEMENT NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPROVE ADMINISTRATIVE PERMITS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to applicable law, that the Shasta County Planning Director has determined that the proposed uses meet all applicable criteria and on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, intends to approve the following Administrative Permit: Steven A. Francis and Kristen N. Francis have requested approval of an Administrative Permit to exceed the 20-foot maximum structural height restriction for an accessory building located less than 50 feet from a property line and to exceed the total combined residential accessory building floor-area limit of 2,500 square-feet for a proposed 22-foot 10-inch tall, 3,900-square-foot shop, located 30 feet from the western property line. The project site is located at 4205 Goodwater Avenue, Redding, CA 96002, at the intersection of Goodwater Avenue and Freeman Way. The property is undeveloped with an issued building permit to develop a 2,094-square-foot single-family residence with an attached 780-square-foot garage and a 1,281-square-foot of deck/patio.
