NOTICE OF INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR ADOPTION OF DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES AND OFFSITE OBJECTIVE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS COUNTY OF MARIN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its upcoming meeting on March 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, California, 94903, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin will consider initiating proceedings for the adoption of development impact fees and offsite objective design and development standards that will apply to development projects in unincorporated Marin County. Such proceedings would begin with the preparation of a comprehensive Development Impact Fee Nexus Study to update and establish new development impact fees for various public facilities and services, including but not limited to transportation and roadway improvements, parks and recreation facilities, public safety facilities (police and fire), stormwater and drainage systems, and community facilities. The proceedings would also involve retention of a consultant to prepare proposed offsite objective design and development standards to ensure that the County's standards related to offsite development reflect current development projections and facility needs, including but not limited to standards regarding circulation and access, pedestrian infrastructure, landscaping and environment, utilities, stormwater, and right-of-way improvements. NOTICE REGARDING APPLICABILITY TO FUTURE PROJECTS. Pursuant to Government Code section 66474.2, should the Board of Supervisors approve initiation of the above-referenced proceedings, such fees and standards will apply to applications for tentative maps deemed complete after the date of the Board's approval. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION. The County encourages public participation in this process. The draft nexus study and proposed fee schedule will be available for public review at least 30 days prior to any public hearing. Opportunities for public comment will include a public workshop and a Board of Supervisors public hearing at dates to be determined.
