NOTICE OF PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT OF SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER OF THE TULARE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a vacancy resulting from a resignation filed with the Tulare County Superintendent of Schools on January 20, 2026, occurred on the governing board of the Tulare City School District for Trustee Area 1. On February 24, 2026, M. Eloysa Segura Moraza was provisionally appointed to fill the vacancy for Trustee Area 1 pursuant to Education Code Section 5091. This appointment shall remain an effective appointment unless a petition calling for a special election is filed in the County Superintendent of Schools’ office, 6200 S. Mooney Blvd./PO Box 5091, Visalia, California, within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment. Such a petition must be signed by at least the number of registered voters of the district equal to 1 1/2 percent of the number of registered voters of the district at the time of the last regular election for governing board members, or 25 registered voters, whichever is greater; except that in a district with less than 2,000 registered voters, a petition must be signed by at least five percent of the number of registered voters of the district at the time of the last regular election for governing board members.
