CITY OF CENTRAL, COLORADO– Legal NoticeNotice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Central passed following second reading and public hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 on the following ordinance: Ordinance No. 26-03: An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Central, Colorado, repealing and replacing Article II of Chapter 18 of the City of Central Municipal Code Concerning the adoption of fire code regulations, adopting by reference the 2024 Edition of the International Fire Code, with certain amendments, and adopting penalties for violations thereof (the “Ordinance”).Summary of Ordinance: The Ordinance repeals and replaces Article II of Chapter 18 of the Municipal Code to update the City's adopted fire code by reference. Specifically, the City Council is adopting the International Fire Code, 2024 Edition, Second Printing, February 2026, including Appendix Chapters B, C, D, and I, published by the International Code Council, Inc., 4051 West Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills, IL 60478-5795 (the “Fire Code”), with such modifications and amendments as set forth in Attachment 1 to the Ordinance.
