Invitation to Bid City of Dade City 38020 Meridian Ave Dade City, FL 33525 PROJECT: 2610-PK James Irvin Civic Center The Dade City Public Works Department will receive sealed bids, for the James Irvin Civic Center Building consisting of: The City of Dade City (City) is seeking qualified Design-Build firms to provide comprehensive professional services for the demolition and reconstruction of the James Irvin Civic Center. The intent of this project is to deliver a modern, flexible, and community-centered facility that reflects the Citys character, enhances public use, and honors the historical significance of the existing site. The new facility shall serve as a multi-purpose civic gathering space designed to accommodate events, programming, and community engagement. The City is at a pivotal moment in reimagining a historically underserved neighborhood located on the easternmost portion of the city limits. This area holds deep cultural, historical, and generational significance. The Naomi Jones Park and James Irvin Civic Center is named in recognition of the Prisoner of War camp once located in the area during the era of Japanese internment. The Civic Center requires full demolition and reconstruction, and efforts must thoughtfully preserve and honor the layered history embedded in the site. Bids will be received at 38020 Meridian Ave, Dade City, FL 33525 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud at the City Commission Chambers at the same address. All bids must be clearly marked in the lower left corner with bidder information, the project name and number, and date and time of bid opening.
