BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ST. LUCIE COUNTY INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids will be received at the Purchasing Department, 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982, until 3:00 P.M. local time on Wednesday, June 03, 2026, for the following: BID NO.: 26-031 Shipyard Pavement Improvement Project - Area 1 It is St. Lucie Countys intent to award a construction contract to one qualified bidder to perform construction-related services for construction of the paving, drainage, utilities and associated improvements, in accordance with the provisions of these supplemental conditions, specifications and the drawings, entitled, "construction plans & specifications for "Derecktor fort pierce shipyard pavement improvement project - area 1" A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Derecktor Shipyards located at 1001 Port Ave., Fort Pierce, FL 34950. At this time, the Project Manager will be available to answer questions concerning the project requirements. Bid documents may be obtained via download from www.DemandStar.com or potential respondents may contact the Office of the Purchasing Department at 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida, 34982, (772) 462-1700. Bids may be mailed or hand delivered to the St. Lucie County Purchasing Department, 2300 Virginia Avenue, 2nd Floor Rm. 228, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. Any bids received after the above stated time shall be returned to the bidder unopened. CAUTION: It is the bidders/proposers responsibility to ensure that bids/proposals are received in the Purchasing Department prior to the date and time specified above. Receipt of a bid/proposal in any other County office does not satisfy this requirement. Bidders shall submit ONE (1) MARKED ORIGINAL AND TWO (2) PHOTOCOPIES OF THE COMPLETED BID PACKAGE in a sealed envelope. The Project Name, Bid Number, and time and date of the Bid opening shall be clearly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope. Facsimile responses shall not be accepted. All Bidders shall provide proof that they are State Certified or State Registered, and a State Registered License shall be based on the possession of a St. Lucie County Certificate of Competency. Specialty contractors shall be required to provide proof of having obtained a St. Lucie County Certificate of Competency. Possession of either a State Certification or County Competency card must accompany the bid. It is the responsibility of the bidder to confirm that they have all the proper licenses to perform the work. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities; reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the proposal which best serves the County.
