PUBLIC NOTICE MARCO ISLAND, FLORIDA INVITATION TO BID South Water Treatment Plant Open Storage Structure Project ITB# 2026-004 Electronic Bids will be received at www.Demandstar.com until 2:00 PM (EST) May21, 2026. It is preferred for all bids to be submitted electronically through Demandstar(www.demandstar.com). However, paper sealed bid proposals are still accepted. Anon-mandatory site visit will take place on April 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (EST) at415 Lily Court, Marco Island, FL, 34145. GENERAL DESCRIPTION PLEASE REFER TO PROJECT PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONSFOR DETAILED REQUIREMENTS The City of Marco Island is soliciting bids for the construction of an openstorage structure to house 60 portable generators at the Citys South WaterTreatment Plant. The project includes furnishing, installing, andcommissioning a prefabricated steel structure, along with site improvementsincluding, but not limited to, concrete foundation, electrical system, plumbing,pavement, drainage, and other associated work, in accordance with theproject bid drawings and specifications available at www.Demandstar.com. The project is scheduled to begin on June 2026, with a requirement forcompletion within 10 months. Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires thatthe District may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, orideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
