Project:      Anoka Ave Mill and
                 Resurfacing
Location:    110 East Main Street
                 Avon Park, Florida 33825
 
City of Avon Park, Florida is soliciting proposals from appropriately licensed and qualified General Contractors to perform milling and resurfacing of Anoka Avenue in Avon Park, Florida. Such work will include but not be limited to:
 
    Mill and resurface existing asphalt road, as specified in the Scope of Work.
    Shoulder stabilization in select areas, as specified in the Roadway Plans.
    Existing sidewalk additions, repairs and accessibility retrofits.
 
The City of Avon Park will receive sealed bids at the above-listed site office address between normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00 PM, until no later than Monday, April 6, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. After which, at said office, they will be publicly opened and read out loud.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Cool and Cobb Engineering Company/City of Avon Park, located at 203 W. Main St., Avon Park, FL 33825.
 
Bidders must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances. The Owner reserves the right to waive or reject any and all bids or waive any or all irregularities.
 
SPECIAL NOTES:
A Bid Bond is required equal to 5% of the proposed contract amount and must accompany each bid proposal.
 
Payment and Performance Bonds will each be required to be in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.
 
The selected contractor must demonstrate substantial experience with proven ability to perform adequate construction of the aforementioned project type.
 
The City of Avon Park, and Cool and Cobb Engineering will be conducting a mandatory pre-bid conference at the Public Works Building located at 2301 US Highway 27 S, Avon Park, Florida 33825, on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. At that time, we will be available to answer any questions and clarify any uncertain aspects of the bid package and intended scope of work.
